ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

We are an Industry Leading Consumer Products Company seeking an ACCOUNTS PAYABLE COORDINATOR to join our Accounts Payable Department. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for the following:
KEY
Responsibilities:
o Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts payable closing process.
o Matching, batching and coding of invoices
o Generate checks for processing
o Process internal expense checks
o Provides support to internal and external customers.
o Assist with AR, general ledger maintenance, journal entries and bank reconciliations
o Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
o Reconciliation of vendor statements.
o Responsible for timely and accurate weekly/monthly A/P ACH reconciliations.
o Regular updates with A/P Manager to summarize issues and opportunities.
o Importing, exporting, analyzing and reporting various forms of data for status reporting.
o Follow the company Accounts Payable policies, procedures and processes.
o Generate 1099's at end of year and maintain W9 files
o Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and accuracy of documents.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
o Associates Degree in Accounting or higher is a plus.
o Ideal candidate will have 3
years of accounts payable experience
o Thorough knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures relating to AP
o Proficient in Microsoft applications with heavy emphasis on Excel.
o Strong attention to detail.
o Ability to produce quality results within tight deadlines and ability to balance multiple priorities.
o Ability to coordinate with various departments, field operations and external partners.
o Professional written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
COMPENSATION: $17 - $20/hr (Depending on Experience) plus OT pay!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
