We are looking for a full-time team member who can work 30-40 hours per week and part-time employees capable of working year-round.
We are not seeking any seasonal hires, and only applicants capable of working through the end of summer will be considered.
We are willing to train any accepted applicants, and we offer a competitive starting hourly wage plus shared tips! YOU MUST HAVE AVAILABILITY ON WEEKENDS AND BE ABLE TO COMMIT AT LEAST 20 HOURS A WEEK! MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 1 WEEKEND DAY (Sat or Sun).
THIS IS A REQUIREMENT! To be successful in this role, you should have impeccable customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
You should be able to work various shifts and with diverse teams.
Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent experience for our guests.
Matcha Cafe Maiko opened its first store in Hawaii with the goal of providing customers quality matcha with an authentic taste.
All our products are imported straight from Uji, Japan.
Uji is a place in the southern part of Kyoto and is renowned for making top-notch, highly-nutritious matcha.
Responsibilities include:
Must be able to take orders accurately via a point-of-sales system in a courteous manner.
Must be able to accurately prepare ingredients and make drinks, soft serves, parfaits and special menu items following the instructions of each individual request.
Prepare the kitchen and ensure ingredients are readily available at all times.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
Comply with health and safety regulations, and ensure the store is properly maintained and cleaned.
Maintain inventory, including stocking inventory and managing the daily inventory count.
Helping with kitchen prep, such as making batch ingredients from scratch.
Closing tasks, such as cleaning the store, washing dishes and closing the register.
Assisting customers with various needs.

Qualifications:
Impeccable customer service skills.
Previous experience in the food industry along with any relevant training.
Ice cream, baking or barista experience are all a plus.
Must be able to commit at least 20 hours per week.
Must be available to work at least 1 day on weekends.
You must be able to clearly communicate in English.
The ability to speak other languages (e.
g.
, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, etc.
) is a plus.
Flexibility to work various shifts and with diverse teams.
Must be 16 years and older.
